Easter Events in Western MA
Easter is coming up this Sunday, and there are plenty of events happening in Western MA for the entire family! Are you looking to meet the Easter bunny or participate in an Easter Egg Hunt? There is something for everyone this weekend. Here’s a list of some upcoming events happening in the area.
Friday April 18th
Springfield– The Springfield Museum will host Spring Into Easter ! There will be a live animal demonstration, a visit with the Easter Bunny, puppet shows, art activities and more!
Greenfield– The Easter Bunny will be at Wilson’s Department Store from 3-5pm. They are located at 258 Main Street Greenfield, MA.
Saturday April 19th
Holyoke- Holyoke Parks and Recreation Department’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Heritage State Park: 10am-12pm.
Ludlow– Hubbard Memorial Library’s 15th Annual Egg Hunt, beginning at 11am. Kids of all ages are welcome, please bring your own basket.
South Hadley- Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Hat Parade at Buttery Brook Park. The Hat Parade begins at 11am, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30am. Children should wear their most creative, crazy, fun Easter hats, and bring a container to collect candy eggs.
Springfield- The Zoo in Forest Park & Education Center hosts a Spring “Egg” stravanza . Collect eggs along the “bunny trail”. Zoo “bunnies” will pass out goodie filled eggs. Meet live animals that come from eggs and more. Prices and times are posted on the website.
West Springfield- Kids ages 7 and under are invited to Mittneague Park for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Meet the Easter bunny and also get a special treat (9:45am-10:30am) then hunt for Easter Eggs at 10:30am. Children will be split into color-coded age groups.
Wilbraham– The Wilbraham Parks and Recreation Department hosts their annual Easter egg hunt at Spec Pond from 10am-11:30am. Children up to age 10 are invited to come search for eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, play games and more. There will also be an Easter Basket Contest, so decorate your own and bring it to the Egg Hunt. (pre-registration is required)
Easter Sunday April 20th
Holyoke: Easter Sunday! Come & visit with the Easter Bunny at Heritage State Park, 12-3 pm. Wear your Easter finery, or your bunny ears and be treated to a 1/2 price ride on the Merry go round!
Holyoke: Mayor Alex B. Morse invites the public to join him from 11:00AM to 2:00PM for Holyoke’s Annual Easter Drag. This Easter tradition gathers families on Northampton Street to “walk the drag” on both sides of the street from the Yankee Pedlar to Nick’s Nest and Fire Station #3. Along the route, children will be greeted by fire trucks at Station #3, and the Easter Bunny and “Nick the Hot Dog” will be at Nick’s Nest.
