ID Card For Car Seats

Posted by on Jun 8, 2012 in ,

If your children or grandchildren are using a booster car seat, you should consider having an ID tag for your child attached to it. The ID card allows the paramedics and hospital to have your information handy in case of an emergency. This allows them to be able to contact parents or guardians and to identify the child if something were to happen. Simply attach it to any booster or car seat. If your child is out of a car seat already, attach it to their seatbelts.

The ID card should include:

  • Picture
  • Childs Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Weight
  • Height
  • 4 family contact phone numbers
  • Allergies/Medical information
  • Doctors name and number
  • Medical Release signature

By providing a medical release signature on the child ID card, it allows the child to receive medical care if the parent or guardian is not present.  Although not many parents think of making an ID card for their child, it is better to be safe in case of an emergency.
