How about a FREE concert that invites all ages to come and enjoy the summer evening while socializing with your friends and tuning into the sounds of local bands? Come and join The Holyoke Rotary Club for their “Positively Holyoke Summer Concert Series“, an outdoor concert series right in the center of Holyoke. While you are at the event, be sure to stop and say hello to current Holyoke Rotary Club members at the food booth where they will be selling hot dogs, snacks and beverages. Each and every Wednesday in July, the Holyoke Rotary Club welcomes you to a free outdoor concert held atHolyokeHeritageState Park. Watch the park come to life with your friends and family while listening to the sounds of classic hits and old time favorites. Each Wednesday in July from 6:30- 8:30, Heritage State Park will host a band outdoors to welcome everyone to come and join together without having to pay any admittance costs. The objective behind this concert series is similar to that of the Celebrate Holyoke public concert series, which ended back in 2005. In an effort to do something positive for the city of Holyoke, past president of the Holyoke Rotary Club, Peter Brunault began working on a way to bring the people of Holyoke together to enjoy a common interest. When interviewed for a local paper, Brunault stated that “The basic idea is to come out and enjoy an evening of music in the summer.” He also went on to add that ““The whole idea is we wanted to do something positive in Holyoke,—The Holyoke Rotary Club already does many positive things for the city and this is an extension of that.”
Whether you are a fan of good music or just having a good time, be sure to check out some of the performances which will include:
