The Hand of Providence
Ross Insurance is dedicated to recognizing the wonderful community efforts and achievements of those we insure. In keeping with that tradition, we would like to take a moment and let you know about something wonderful that just happened this last weekend at Providence Ministries!
You may not know the history of this amazing establishment, but it was first breathed to life by Sister Margaret Mcleary 35 years ago! Providence Ministries has a real heart for service. That is so admirable in this day and age we live in. Serving has become a lost art these days. Getting has become more important than Giving. That is not the case at Providence Ministries!
One of the most recognizable outreaches that this organization offers is Kate’s Kitchen. Serving a hot meal, every day, all year to anyone who is hungry. I can’t even imagine the feeling of being hungry and not knowing how to feed my family or myself. There are people who are struggling and hungry and Kate’s Kitchen shines a light into that dark space in peoples lives.
This last weekend Providence Ministries was at it again! They opened their newest outreach in form of a SRO (single occupancy room) home for low income men in recovery. WOW! A place for men who have battled addiction and are trying to get on the right track and back on their feet. They are learning to be the best men they can be. Amazing! Fittingly this new home has been named for the woman whose dedication and love for others came first, Sister Margaret Mcleary.
Mcleary Manor is at 40 Brightside Drive in Holyoke MA, and if you would like furthur information about this amazing ministry or want to learn how you can help through donating time, money or supplies this new home may need, please visit them online at www.provministries.com or call 413-536-9109.
